I live in a tiny apartment and don’t have room for a crib. Help!

Good news! Babies don’t need a crib until they’re about three months old so you have some time to consider your options. In the meantime, bassinets and Moses Baskets are great because they’re portable and easy to fit in even the smallest spaces. Another choice is a Co-sleeper which is basically a small bassinet that attaches to your bed and makes late night feedings a breeze. Once baby is ready, we recommend an oval shaped crib – an innovative option for our space challenged clients.

In honor of September safety, tomorrow, September 20th, is National Seat Check Saturday. The Baby Planners stress to all of their clients that professional installation of your car seats is a must! But whether you’ve done the job yourself or not, parents across the country will have the opportunity tomorrow to have their children’s car seats checked to make sure they are properly installed as part of a new national campaign to improve child safety.

Now that we’ve written our ABC Expo wrap-up for The Cradle, chatted extensively to radio host Tracey Serabin, and consulted with a few clients, we’re ready to start sharing some of The Baby Planners Picks™ hot off the Expo. Here goes!

It was a green extravaganza! From our favorite phalate and BPA-free bottles, Green to Grow to Nature’s Baby Organics fabulous line of baby skin care products to Booda Brand organic line of onesies and tee’s, the eco-vibe couldn’t be missed.

As for fun stuff, there was lots of it. The Naughty Monsters “time out” pillow includes a digital talking timer that just might make time outs a little less stressful for both you and your toddler. It happens every year and gets bigger and more fabulous every year. The ABC Expo in Las Vegas. An industry trade show where manufacturers, entrepreneurs, and inspired individuals show off their latest and greatest products in all things baby! The Baby Planners walked (and walked and walked the floor some more!) and will soon be bringing you some of our fab finds!
